Frankfurt is the biggest city in the state of Hesse, Germany. It is well-known for its impressive skyline filled with elevated buildings in the city center. Many important European organizations, such as the European Central Bank, are located there.
Frankfurt's main gay area is focused on Alte Gasse and Kalbachstrasse to the southwest of the downtown area. Locally called the "Bermuda Triangle," it's the lively center of Frankfurt's LGBTQ+ nightlife. Popular spots like La Gata and Iron Bar are perfect for enjoying a fun queer night out. In the summer, the area hosts street festivals and outdoor events. LGBTQ+ friendly places can also be found in other parts of the city.
Frankfurt's gay community is mainly centered on Alte Gasse street in the city center (Innenstadt), close to Konstablerwache station and the famous Zeil shopping street. You can easily walk to most of the gay bars and clubs since they are located neighboring each other. However, some of the popular cruise clubs and saunas are located a bit farther away.
