Everything you need to know about the WeHo Pride Parade

Looking forward to Pride Month? Well now you have two blockbuster events to stare forward to, with a pair of Pride parades and festivals in both West Hollywood and Hollywood.

Here’s the deal: The L.A. Pride Parade, the long-running LGBTQ+ event produced by Christopher Street West that traces its history back to the s, moved east into Hollywood starting in

Meanwhile, back at the event’s familiar location from the past few decades, West Hollywood now stages its own inclusive festival, WeHo Pride, complete with a parade that draws tens of thousands of spectators and a ticketed music festival, OUTLOUD, at West Hollywood Park (which will follow a free Friday-night concert headlined by Maren Morris).

WeHo Pride is the City of West Hollywood’s LGBTQ+ Pride celebration.

For decades, West Hollywood has been home to one of the largest annual Pride celebrations in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of people each June.

Thursday, May 22 – Monday, June 30

WeHo Pride kicks-off on Harvey Milk Night, May 22, with a particular event. WeHo Pride Weekend will take place from Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1 with OUTLOUD at WeHo Pride, the WeHo Pride Street Impartial , the Women's Freedom Festival and Dyke March, WeHo Pride Parade, and much more!

This year's WeHo Pride Arts Festival will hold place from Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25 with various events and programming.

Throughout the 40 days from May 22 to June 30, there will be community group events at various locations.

WeHo Pride Parade

Full of music, dancing, colorful floats, festive marching contingents, and creative flair, the WeHo Pride Parade is free and open to the public embracing LGBTQ+ representation, inclusion, and progress. The parade celebrates diversity, affection, and resilience in the heart of West Hollywood. Each year, Parade Icons are selected for their significant contributions to the LGBTQ+ community, visibility, community involvement, and advocacy.

The City of West Hollywood and WeHo Pride producer JJLA announced that supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne, Emmy-nominated actress and filmmaker Nava Mau, Love on the Spectrum star Pari Kim, and former NFL player Chris Kluwe will serve as the WeHo Pride Parade Icons. WeHo Pride honors the four individuals for their work in bringing the LGBTQ+ community and social justice issues to the forefront, as well as expanding representation in pop culture.
