Whether you call it walking, hiking, or rambling, the Gay Sunday Walking Group goes out and enjoys it in London, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
You don’t have to be an experienced rambler to take part; in fact many of our members have developed a taste for the open air as a result of coming on one of our walks for the first time.
We usually have at least two walks every month: one half-day walk (about 3 to 6 miles), usually in one of the greener parts of Greater London, and one full-day walk (about 7 to 12 miles), usually in the countryside but within about an hours train journey from central London.
We welcome people of any age, and walk at a comfortable pace. All our walks can be reached by widespread transport. We also try to include parking information for drivers where possible. On full-day walks we often stop at a pub or café for lunch but you can bring a packed lunch if you prefer.
Despite the groups name, we include walks on Saturdays as adequately as Sundays, and occasionally on a bank holiday Monday.

Exeter Gay Men Meetup
Join us for a Saturday afternoon walk around north Bristol, dinner, drinks and the opportunity to watch a mass ascent of balloons from Bristol Balloon Fiesta (weather permitting).
We’ll meet at Bristol Temple Meads railway station at 12pm and begin a walk through the inner city to trendy Gloucester Road, which is known as Europe’s longest stretch of independent shops. We’ll stop for a light lunch at St Andrew’s Park. There are shops nearby to purchase lunch and a small cafe in the park that sells hot drinks and sourdough toasties
Following this we’ll head up hill to walk through Redland Green to the tennis club there where we can watch some of the activity and take advantage of the bar if we like. We can then enjoy some spectacular views over the city as we walk up to and across some of The Downs, a large area of parkland. There is a cafe by the Water Tower which we can stop at if it’s not too busy. Alternatively there are other pubs and cafes in the Whiteladies Road area.
Weather permitting there should be a mass ascent of around balloons at 6pm. We could
